Cycling enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a route of more than 300 kilometers. The Loire à vélo allows you to cross the Loire Valley as close as possible from the river, using cycle paths and small country lanes.
In Pouilly-sur-Loire, crossing the Pont de Pouilly allows you to reach a portion of the Loire à vélo and in particular the Sancerre hillsides. How to reach the route from the Tourist Office ? It's very simple : you are only 1.2 km away, so you can reach it easily. Leave the Tourist Office on the left, take the rue Waldeck Rousseau, extended by the rue René Couard. Take the third street on your right (rue Jean Jaurès), to cross the bridge over the Loire. Take the D59, to cross the Nature Reserve of the Loire Valley, and reach a location called Les Vallées. You are now on the Loire à vélo itinerary ! Turn either left or right, depending on your destination.
At Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, crossing the bridge allows you to reach a portion of the Loire à vélo. How to reach the route from the Tourist Office ? No worries, it is very simple. You are only 1.2 km from the bike path which is located on the left bank, in the Cher. When leaving the Tourist Office, go around the building on the left to join the street. Go towards the roundabout to cross the bridge over the Loire. Then cycle 1.2 km on the D955 to cross a second bridge. When you are on the other side of the bridge, you are on the Loire à vélo itinerary. Turn left or right depending on your destination.
