Hiking in the vineyard

A 13 km hike is offered in the heart of the Pouilly vineyards and presented here in detail by "Carnets de rando" :
To be practiced without moderation !

The "Zig and Zag" trail

Two colonies of bats are present in Cessy-les-Bois : the Grand Rinolophe and the Murin with scalloped ears. The presence of these bats has enabled the town to be classified Natura 2000. To learn everything about the life of these small mammals, take the Zig and Zag trail, dotted with 8 interactive panels where you will learn all about life of these colonies. This walk is worth a detour in this village nestled in the hollow of the Talvanne valley. The departure is from the parking lot of the church, for a pedestrian loop of about 2 km. And to learn even more, you can get the trail guide booklet, on sale at the Tourist Office.

The trails of Brocs

The trails of Brocs, in the town of La Celle-sur-Loire, are two educational circuits on the theme of the Loire, its fauna and flora, and its relationship with man. The explanatory panels are in French and English. Follow the guide : it's Fiber, the Beaver ! There is a 1 km trail and a 2.3 km trail.
The site can be visited all year round (excluding hunting periods). Documentation available at the Tourist Office.

Pastoralism on the Brocs site :

The Brocs site contains natural environments of great heritage and tourist interest (lawns and meadows in the Loire region in particular).
Maintaining a mosaic of lawns, meadows, fruit trees and moors in Genêt represents a major challenge for the conservation of habitats favorable to certain bats and for certain birds. This site therefore deserves special attention.
The implementation of pastoral management under the Natura 2000 contract ensures the maintenance of several habitats and promotes a mosaic of open environments favorable to several animal species.

Electric bicycle rental

To discover the area, the vineyards, or to cycle through the Loire, it is possible to rent electric bikes from the Tourist Office.
Road bikes and mountain bikes of different sizes are available to you, as well as helmets, saddlebags, baby carriers and a child trailer.
Prices per bike : 15€ for half day, 30€ for the day.
Do not hesitate to contact us for any further information or to reserve your bike at +33 (0)

How to reach the Loire à Vélo route from the Tourist Office ? It's very simple : you are only 1.2 km from the route (which is located on the left bank, in the Cher), so you can easily reach it. When leaving the Tourist Office, go around the building on the left, to arrive on the street. Take the direction of the roundabout to cross the bridge over the Loire. Then travel 1.2 km on the D955, to cross a second bridge. At the exit of it, you are there, turn left or right depending on your destination.

The Tourist office has the "accueil vélo" label.
